Nightmare Mode is one of two difficulty modes in The Mimic where players are only given one life upon choosing the mode. The monsters also have increased speed. After you have completed a playable Chapter/Gamemode on Nightmare Mode, you will usually receive a badge and a lantern, however, the only exceptions of this are Chapter I of Control's Book and Chapter II of Jealousy's Book.
