Netflix takes over Gears of War movie, animated series projects - Polygon

The Hollywood Reporter reported on Nov. 7 that Netflix had outbid several others for the rights to a Gears of War movie and animated series adaptation. Efforts to adapt the Xbox shooter for the big screen go back as far as 2007.
